We Are No More Than This
A neurotic theatrical show by Gal Chapski
A collection of comic-tragic skits about life, death and the anxiety between them, within a format attempting to call itself a theater production.
The show “We Are No More Than This” presents a unique perception of theater, in which all we know about the theater falls apart: the stage and the backstage mix, the line between the actors and the characters disappears, and even the lighting and sound operators get a dramatic role. The result is a play that goes crazy and becomes a hilarious fiasco of a show.
The show is comprised different skits written by Gal Chapski, a promising young playwright, and was created in a joint directing process by Yuval Koren, Nimrod Danishman and Rom Reznik, graduates of the 2018 directing class at Seminar Hakibbutzim School of Performing Arts. The show is performed regularly in Tzavta Theater, as part of the “Brand New Playwrights” project formed by “The Playwrights” group.
